It Binds

Regardless of what is told of it
I come from a love that binds
It delights in humility and thanks
He who doesn’t have it doesn’t know that God is kind
Here is love made perfect
It, itself is God’s sign
Young women desire and dream of it
Sarah certainly knew of it
Her life beamed true of it
Greater love has no man due to it
The blood of faithful elders flowed from it
King David believed and wrote of it
True Servants are born of it
He that feareth is not made perfect in it
All God’s great prophets lived in it
Saints of God spring forth power who trust in it
The Father gave His only begotten son for it
Generations of Black slaves were torn from it
Since they had no mind to adhere to it
There’s faith and hope sank deep inside of it
Jesus shed his blood for it
Women came to dress his grave because of it
The faithful are victorious in light of it
Forgiveness is retrieved wise by reason of it
Hardness of heart and murmuring are in contrast to it
The evil tongue,  it  still wags in spite of it
Corrupt can’t see the phenomenon in it
Ears have not heard nor have eyes seen the result of it
Holy women compass and live and trust in view of it
Broken hearts are mended and healed because of it
Relieved from the hope found hidden down inside of it
Pleased is my soul with it
Holding fast to truth I read clearly all in  it
Nothing at all is impossible due to the power he put in it
Regardless of what is told of it
I thank God for giving his servants it
Holding on to Jesus given that he is it
Oh Great God of mine
